highlandpk, so does that make you think harder about getting out mid year?
No. First, I need the money invested in AMD.
Second, marketing claims from either side don´t affect me as I feel I have enough background information to come to my own conclusions. That is not quite true for much of the press as they don´t have access to most of the relevant info and thus just swallow what is thrown at them. That´s why I think it´s high time that AMD fired a marketing salvo of their own. The perception that AMD just stays where they are today while INTEL throws a barrage of highly advanced products their way is not how I want to see AMD represented in the press. I think the interview is well done and addresses many important questions. Of course it´s also full of marketing BS if you´re up to all the latest details - but the average reader won´t know that.
With all that said, even if I could stay invested for a longer period of time, I most likely wouldn´t. The market is forward looking, and will hopefully factor in AMD´s potential soon enough.
Who knows, I might jump back in sometime in 2007 should the stars align.
But really this is a personal decision that everyone should make for himself based on his own assessment.
I take it you plan to hold throughout 2006?
