I think it has much to do with how easily their service suite can get "scalability".
Can it be easily replicated and duplicated elsewhere. I think that is the both the strength of the service they offer, but also why you cannot realize "rapid-fire" growth.
If Sears wanted the same services they also need the skilled EE's who know the product and deliver the value added. It's not just a matter of providing technology.
The company always mentions the human oversight. Just my perspective - but have held and been rooting for the co since "TalkCity" days.
They need either more scale or a much higher premium for the service and technology provided. Some of both - a good compromise :)
