They do it all the time. I have personally been involved in having two of them censured by the Arizona Board of Technical Registration.

Of course! It happens ALL THE TIME. That is like saying no one would EVER exceed the speed limit because they could lose their driver's license, or that no one would EVER use an illegal drug!

Notice that all these bogus "NI 43-101 reports" are coming from obscure US geologists. Except for possibly Arizona, no State board is going to do anything to discipline them for writing bogus reports. Sad, but true. However, now that they have written a bogus report for a US issuer, they are likely to have problems with any future work they perform for Canadian issuers. But, since this geologist isn't exactly in high demand from Canadian issuers, that is probably not likely to be a problem.
