What was the lie?

Don't confuse lying with not being told what you want to hear.

re: stocks. Rule is, high risk, high reward. Individual stocks are high risk. Biotech is particularly high risk because it has to go through stringent FDA rigmarole.

Never invest more than you're willing or can afford to lose.

Never consider any gains over the price one paid for the stock as "profit" or "yours" until you've sold and have the money in the bank.

Consider loss to be only that which is below the price you paid for the stock.

Stay calm; be patient.

Ilpapa,

I cannot reply privately to your private reply. But no, my comment was not condescending or meant to be so. You accused management of lying to you, but you don't say what the lie was. And what is in your portfolio has nothing to do with whether they lied to you or not. If you accuse someone or people of lying, you should state what the lie was, I think.
