I agree but yet they do.... on nothing more than principle...

i think Larry and Sergey take it more personally because its an attack on what caused their success. So the way Google is acting seems more ideological than logical.

I'm not sure if the same could be said for PRKR and Qualcom.

but im willing to put money on it that the PRKR share price will start dropping when their appeals process drags out too.. in fact im counting on it.... gotta get me some cheap shares.

The difference is folks....Google is shorting this stock and suppressing it.

Its clear.

1. The value of the short interest with all the risk that's on the table for shorts?

2. Look at the squeeze happening to PRKR with simply a jury ruling?

3. The flash crash hard short that happened to vrng post jury ruling?

4. The amount of information that has come out since that continues to derisk this in favor of vrng

5. Yet those shorts still sit there? No hedge fund that understands risk takes a short position UNLESS, they are told in advance when to cover.

6. Clear as day to me why Google has someone shorting (and look they break the law, we know that so its no 'conspiracy'), and sec violations are impossible to prove here.

a. Suppress the stock and piss of both vrng and its shareholders, de-legitimize the hated troll model - this is really their goal no? what better way than to negatively impact the pps of a troll, even if you don't win the case?

b. Suppressing the stock also creates better leverage in negotiations, forces vrng to think heavily about settling for less because of the impact on its pps

c. shows other trolls, even a win vs google wont help you short term...so in the future, take whatever pittance they offer rather than going through 2 years of pain.

I see alot of reasons and evidence as to why they'd be shorting here.

Certainly wish there was a way to have the sec investigate but there is very little, thus it makes sense for google to do it.

Moyer, please understand; Google DOESN'T CARE! Cost is no issue here. Money is no object. Damage inflicted upon an upstart company that had the temerity to sue them over theft of V's IP is all that matters. Billions are much ado to you and I, just cold numbers to a company that's making billions each year by unlawfully using the stolen IP. Can you say, "Laughing all the way to the bank?" If Google, as a company, could be laid on a couch, they'd be diagnosed as irrational, psychotic and foaming at the mouth.
