Did you know that during Sandy NY transportation people consulted climate scientist in the Federal Government to see how big the surge would be as they were going to build a 5 foot wall to keep out the water from flooding all of the Subway system. The scientists said build the wall to 8'3" and they guild it to 8'6" so they had three inches to spare as the scientist were right on the money.
Chris Christie doubted that climate change had anything to do with Superstorm Sandy. Prior to the storm, New Jersey did not account for climate projections, and it lost a quarter of its public transit fleet.
