But this constant refrain that OTC's are risky is nothing more than another excuse for Ntephe's inability to push exploration forward on any of the asset fronts !!
I can't name a single company that would like to be in ERHC's shoes. A lousy share price. Running low on cash. Poor management. Can't sign a JV partner anywhere. Can't get on a better exchange. Can't raise any capital to explore what little they do have. That is NOT what I would call an enviable position.
There are degrees of risk. I am much more comfortable with a small cap that is already well on it's way to being self funding thru current oil production and sales. One that still has the potential of a multi-bagger. One that has far less shares than ERHC.
There are much better choices out there at this time...but things could change I guess. That's why I 'hang around'. At some point I could possibly throw more at this...but this is not that time.
