If I were an AMD investor, I'd worry more about where that leaves A64. IPF is so far niched in the high end, that Conroe wouldn't be a threat, even if it were 4x faster (that's a little poke at Steve Jobs... :-)).
When Montecito is officially introduced next quarter that will be quite obvious, with industry leading performance while using less power than its competitors. Just like Conroe but in mid to high end servers, not desktop PCs.
