That's Nancy Pelosi's strategy but Obama has been brushing her off. Some say it would be like hounding your kids to do their homework, and you end up having to stay up all night and do it for them. If Obama does it for Congress he'd be the parent who can't control his kids. Others make the argument that it's more like when a wife hounds her husband to fix the brakes on the car, and she ends up taking it to the dealer and paying too much to have it done. It was too important to wait around for him to get to it.
Not sure which argument is correct here, probably a little of both, because in both cases, the person with the need is unable to convice the other person to live up to their responsibility.
