As you already know, one of Dell's arguments against using AMD in their lineup is that AMD is unable to supply them in the volume they require. Given that line of reasoning it appears that if Dell is at all serious about using AMD, they'd want to offer a desktop in addition to a server line.
Update: Given Dell's track record, I doubt that they're serious.
