#2349 RE: weegie #2347

Thinking my post wasn't to clear, sorry. The Republic Wireless link is part of Moneyloss' post 2084 which I cut and copied. I've never researched Republic wireless at all and am not expecting any relationship with them&gsat.

There's no longer any doubt in my mind that Gsat, with fcc tlps approval, is going to "partner" with Amazon after reading the exparte filing by the Gsat attorneys last night.

Gsat had a few options after approval,
1) go it alone which would be very dilutive
2)rent or lease the spectrum
3) get a partner with deep pockets
4)sell out

The Gsat attorney filing yesterday tells us they have plans to partner, which imo is the best option from above.

The filing also tells us that they are improving Voice over wifi, which means they plan on using it,imo.

Take a good look at Moneyloss' post again. He said four months ago "they could blow the cellular market wide open". I think he's right and this will create big opposition to Gsat ,imo.

We've researched the clues to Amazon for months.
1)WSJ reported they're working on 2 phones, one of them 3d

2)Tim Farrar reports Amazon testing on Gsat tlps

3)EVleaks on twitter mentioned phone codename "Amazon GLP70"

GLP could = Gateway Location Protocol used in ip telephony

4)Amir Efrati and Jessica Lessin ex WSJ reporter , writes Amazon to offer free smartphone according to unnamed sources. Amazon denies a free phone.

Imo, Maybe the service is free not the phone. Free VOWIFI

5)Amazon releases new Kindle hdx with a feature called "Mayday". You press a button and a live company rep is on your Kindle.

So what i'm expecting is an Amazon phone that makes free calls over wifi with live stream of the person you're calling. And a second phone that will do the same but in 3d,as per the wsj article. All of this of course with an Amazon Gsat partnership.
