I have tried to come up with a scenario where this is feasible but unfortunately every one results in a serious haircut to current shareholders after the RS.
Don't be surprised if there is a PP in place to guarantee funds for the tron but at such an incentive that its a cant miss for those investors. Effectively wiping out current shareholders.
The notion that this has to be 5$ before anyone will invest in the cyclotron project doesn't make any sense. Anyone who is interested in investing in the spin-off will not be doing it through retail. That is absurd. They would want guarantees. They want Positron to have skin in the game. That's why you will likely see an RS w/ Dilution & a PP at a fraction of post split pps. By then there maybe nothing left for shareholders. Explains the RS ratio and the AS ratio.
