I haven't seen the reports but a buddy of mine has actually called Finra. The short numbers they report are a mix of everything. Some MMs like Knight Capital are known for naked short heavily to cover their trades...which is legal....just my .02

I believe the idea is good, but if you write a letter to them they will forward it to Finra..that's all. Nothing will happen...i was in another stock the shorter went out of control and killed the stock.
That's why I am scared here...I hope we do not have to much short here. If it is way up there it will be like crossing a mountain of shorts without any preparation.On the other hand if the chill get lifted it will put a pressure to report everything and they have to cover it with in the specified time.Like the way Bejons and Pepi is jumping all over for shorts and thinking they have to cover i am looking at a different angel.To much short is not good...it become a do or die situation.
