As long as your view is over the time horizon I agree with you. There is too much discussion of short term (months) riches that are not plausible. After money changes hands (trial, appeal, enforcement of award) the potential will then be at out door-step. Then we measure KK's concern for common shareholder well-being. He could pay-off all debts, end dilution, extend GERS' business, increase revenue with this award, and issue a one-time dividend to the long suffering longs who have staked this journey to the tune of $120+ million. Or he could provide massive bonuses to his inner circle, increase the cash for litigation including suing Valero, and other deep pocketed infringers, direct cash into non COES activity that will generate little revenue but consume much cash (note ADRN), not pay-off the debts and continue to have common shareholders pay the freight through dilution. [If you do not know that KK can do this unilaterally you have some reading to do]. That has been his habit in the past, what the market is betting on in the future (note PPS) and will be the litmus test of the real potential here.
