Downside is that each trade is a taxable event so you must be right and nimble. That is a tough combo. In a non tax account your strategy at least allows for some entertainment. For full disclosure I have recently sold some XXII for SPIHF but today sold another holding to re buy more XXII as the chart has come alive plus there are catalysts.
