I don't know if this is typical with Lin Pictures, but, I went through their website news page. They announced a deal to do the "Suicide Squad" movie (a DC Comics/Warner Brothers property) in 2009.

The movie doesn't have a release date, but it is on the In Development page on the website. That means it has spent over 4 years in production with no clear release date yet.

Lin Pictures has no news on their deal with Red Giant and "Wayward Sons" is not on their In Development web page.
