In r3000z land, it's not that uncommon to replace processors. Of course there are folks wanting to go from 32-bits to 64-bits (I don't remember if that's possible) and lots more folks that want to go from Pentium 4s to Athlon 64s. There used to be lots of people that came into the forum complaining that the fan ran all the time and we usually just offered our condolences.
But HP made the maintenance diagrams available on how to swap out the old processor and swap in a new one and there was one guy that added his own photos on when he has done it (he's tried many swaps including a Turion over an Athlon 64 754).
You mentioned a few months ago that you were in 07 $40 leaps. Your principles were to go as far out and at as high a strike price as is feasible. What are your thoughts now?
