Clearly, this company just doesn't give a rat's butt. Their attempts at deception are not even thinly veiled. What's up with that?

I agree. It would also seem that the device pointed out by the arrow in the RIM PDF is actually an Altera Excalibur embedded processor photoshopped with the RIM logo.

It doesn't look to me like the RIM logo was photoshopped. It looks to good. It looks to me like they printed the logo on a plain sheet of white paper, or white sticker and gave it that 3D look by creasing over the edges of the chip. Strange how they would cover the wire conections to the chip. Don't believe I've ever seen that done before. :-)

The right side of the board looks a bit strange though. If it's photoshopped .... they spent some time on it.

There is a good chance this is an obscure board that perhaps never went into production. It may be tough to hunt this one down, but I think it's worth a try.

Notice the revision B statement? :-)
