Thank you, great article pointing out the probable consolidation of the VoIP sector. It also points out that "free" will not work even with an add based platform. I believe the Vox business model with a free trial only is solid.

Pervasip's first Android app was a white label Fring app:

Fring provided the free App, and Vox the optional SIP credentials for long distance discounts.
It didn't last. Revenues, as usual, were unknown but unsufficient to slow PVSP's downward slide.

If I read it right that Israeli company raised $343 million to buy out and consolidate some small VoIP company and take over the VoIP market.If they can make it a huge company buying out few good VoIP companies and make one solid company..they can grow bigger then Skype or Viber ....that can be sold for BILLIONS.I mean 20 to 50 Billions...If investing one Billion and make 50 Billion..why not?
