Yes. Yet, the US government absconding with privately held company profits under the cover of the temporary conservatorship makes the answer still perfectly unclear for those in the know.

The lawsuits have turned on the lights as the US Treasury tries to slip away from rule of the law. That will not continue. The status quo has been the attempt to carry out a heist without anyone knowing any better. That is not happening any longer, the jig is up. it took a little less than a year for brighter minds to see the folly.

The Congress is a confused and divided. Only 15 lawmakers out of 533 have taken a public stand. There is no clear will towards liquidation or against privatization or any clear plan or view in the Congress. That is simply media's yellow journalism rant of a consensus. How tiresome.

The Congress does not know what they want to do now any more than did in the previous five years of the conservatorship.

Memories of the current media journalists are short. I suppose it goes along with younger brains operating within the tweet, a 140 character span protecting a transparent superficiality of mind that lends itself to a lack of serious research and instead to copy, paste, and paraphrase empty drivel from the sources of drivel.

For example, GSE reforms bills are nothing new. Check the Congress' record of 52 bills and resolutions (110th to the present 113th) and what was done? Nothing significant. A tweak here and there. What makes this moment any different? What is the hubub all about? Is this much ado about nothing?

Let's see what happens as the light shines brighter and brighter on the darker aspects of the US Treasury's and Administration's financial farce.
