Most people don't have room for the HD setup you posted. The average person who wants to grow their own are casual users. If pot was legal they would probably only smoke on the weekends. A phototron is a one step solution, while being compact and stylish. The average grower will be clueless on what type of lights to use, nutrients needed, growing cycles, etc. The Phototron can take a lot of the guess work out of the equation and the company has a support line..no idea how good it is. It also has brand recognition since the Phototron has been in the market place for 25 years. 299.99 for the original is the right price. 499.99 is on the high side for the original. I would like to see PHOT get the costs down on manufacturing costs for the entire line. I understand your concern for HD and Lowes selling grow supplies. The nice thing is that the people who work in these stores are clueless. When the big box stores opened up they always had one knowledgeable person for each department. They have abandoned this model and now hire any Joe. I don't even bother anymore with the sales people in these places. For PHOT to be successful they need to be the brand leaders in the grow your own space and for commercial growers. The stores may be a great idea or bust. I like that they are airing commercials for the Phototron and have an online presence. We just need all these pieces to come together. This company increased revenue from last year but are also spending much more then they have made like many other high flying stocks. Time will tell but if you look at the many other penny stock this one looks like a good bet.
