Because BW was getting writers cramp from signing all of the amendments increasing the AS. Also, the $50 per amendment transaction fee was eating into his track money.

Any idea why it is publicly set to unlmited? Why not put a limit in there?

2 reasons

1) Wyoming is one of few states that allows unlimited for an AS.

2) Costs $50 filing fee plus mailing cost each time he raises it.

Haven't got anything better. I'm sure the conspiracy theorists can invent some logic though.
