You brought back a distant memory of mine - thanks. In 1980 I worked for a Congresswomen and pretty much did liaison stuff. Taking calls from constituents and trying to facilitate matters for them.
The Congresswoman whom I worked for was on the House Foreign Relations Committee. And back then as it is today foreign aide to Greece and Turkey was a big issue. On a Saturday she would have the leaders of the Greek community in her office saying how much aide they needed and not to provide any to the Turks and then on Sunday we had the Turks in saying just the opposite. It was an amazing experience.
