Full page report about diamond project Monday

Local News - Daily Press readers will be treated to a gem of a story on Monday.

Staff writer Bruce MacKinnon has just returned from the De Beers diamond exploration project in the James Bay Lowlands and will be filing a special full page report on Monday.

MacKinnon's story is a true exclusive. He's the first reporter to ever be granted permission by De Beers to visit its much publicized Victor Project south of Attawapiskat.

There's still a lot of feasibility work to be done, but if all goes to plan, the Victor Project could result in Ontario's first diamond mine.

Additional special reports will be filed by MacKinnon in the near future.
