Yummy! That ramen bun looks like something they would really like. The other day, my daughter made ramen and simply put a fried egg on top. It was really good.
I've canned 67 quarts of tomatoes so far, so I decided to make a batch of salsa.
14 lbs tomatoes, scalded, peeled, cut up
5 cups onions (chopped)
10 green peppers (chopped)
2 oz jalepeno peppers
1 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup salt
2 teasp oregano flakes
2 teasp cumin
3 teasp chili powder
1 teasp garlic powder
1 teasp cilantro
Mix all of the above together. Cook on low heat in large stock pot for 45 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
Makes 15 pints.
On a side note, I just finished doing the above and it's cooking now. I started at about 9:30 this morning and just now finished. I'm slow, but that's a lot of work!
It's also delicious! I had to give my salsa maker 14 lbs of tomatoes in exchange for that recipe. It's a good thing I've got a big garden and lot's of tomatoes.
