It looks like Reed waited until just before Recess to make his noise but I don't normally follow politics closely enough to call his next move.
He could grandstand via the press... I don't know of any leakage but that's not to say there is not. Seems to me the hedge funds would be on top of that and keep it under their hat's.
That could be why we just had one telegraph his increase of bet here. If they want to pull the GSEs out of Cship then it would only help the cause for the PPS to go up, and stay up IMO.
