I think this asute conclusion was based on how much methadone was consumed. Yes these technologies are not as good as advertised. The only valimed product that had even a modicum of success was the one from the MP days and a different development team, the CCT. As all can see from the cdex web site the CCT is not available any more and the SEC filings from cdex prove they can no longer produce it.
As for the meth- a-DONE detector, it's better off inspecting wall boards for trace amounts of bubble gum and car vinyl. One can always search for the past distrubutors of the myth gun and confirm with them it's "can't sell it, no one wants it " history.
