Chemical "clean-up" ...BF+EC+KFX+PLL+CCC+ADES...and PWEI .
Clean-up BASF (BF) recently made a bid for Engelhard (EC). BF is the world's largest chemical company. EC makes emissions-control systems but also has an auto-parts business. Companies like EC that make dirty things clean are tremendously undervalued in Cramers opinion. Environmental regulations are only getting tougher also. Cramer pointed to 4 companies in the clean-up area:
KFx (KFX) - They turn low-energy coal into high-energy fuel without violating pollution standards. Pall (PLL) - They make filters for semiconductors and blood to cardio filtration.
Calgon Carbon (CCC) - Hazardous-waste engineering company that deals with water purification. ADA-ES (ADES) - The one stock to own. They work with utility companies to meet regulatory demands. A piece of the energy sector not yet played out is PW Eagle (PWEI). They are a buy due to the PVC pipes they make that transport natural gas. Cramer thinks even with last years move there is still room to grow.
