Prejudgment interest will only apply to the damages the jury awarded in their verdict and to the Supplemental Damages the judge awards. Damages whacked by the laches ruling don't get prejudgment interest because those were disallowed. Only damages that have accrued prior to the judgement date, November 21, 2012, are subject to prejudgment interest.

The total award, including prejudgment interest added to it, is then subject to postjudgment interest from the date of judgment until the date it is paid, whenever that may be.

I wouldn't expect any payment until after the appellate court has rendered its decision, unless there is a settlement while the case is on appeal.
