I agree with glass bottling however, people buy these beverages on the perception of what it can do for them. We sold our beverage in an ugly labeled 12 oz can and we managed to convince many people to give it a shot. Our customers were hooked with the beverage. Reorders were non stop. There not a proven product and furthermore many distributors have been burnt with tons of BS energy beverages that hit the market in the past 8-10 years. I find the biggest key is merchandising especially in the NY market. I know many and many distributors out there. they need somewhat of a real partnership thing.
