I've been through a few rollbacks. It is never good for the current shareholders including those who are in the leadership position (insiders). Often it is done to gain financing (make it attractive to finance a company).
IMO, this company is not looking for financing right now. They want the final two patents (or just MG) and will go gusto for sale. If they don't get attractive offers they might go the litigation route. If that is the case, they will need money and this could be possible. However, it just doesnt make sense for them right now.
Currently, their interests align with ours. IMO
