Could it be that things moved along just a tad quicker than expected?

I would think that's a possibility. There are plenty of investors that saw the presentation in India. And,that is when the volume started to show up.

Maybe one of those groups decided they wanted to move on this before somebody else jumped into the fray after the presentations in China.

It's like buying a house that you love. Buy it before somebody else comes up with a better offer
