Since the mine is worthless, and has no economic gold or silver, the price of the commodity has absolutely no bearing on the price of this stock.

Price of gold doesn't matter for a mine that's not in production. However, geological studies have shown mineable gold to be there in spite of the bashing you are reading to the opposite effect.
