I can find no other company that has been working with the ARMY or received SBIR awards working on the mitigation of wear issues relative to JP-8 fuel

And certainly no other company has received a NSF award for it or rteceived help from Argonne National Labs..
Jim also stated that he is not aware of anyone else doing this work.

And patent jumping (as is so evident with the multiple manufacturers of the smaller pump AFT started with, now manufactured by many) will not be an issue. Army pays for the decvelopment, assists with licensing, and awards sole source.

Jim was smart to decide against trying to patent that first and second generation volvo pump... Although Volovo, Like Jim, is a member of the IDA's North American Affairs Committee...
