Not too odd. Company management often "buys" company stock in lieu of salary. Whether any money actually changes hands is doubtful. It makes investors think something is cooking - why else would management buy back their own company's shares? To make money of course, since the company has no revenue and never will!
Management never seem to report sales of stock, but then again, who needs to know...?
