Jonny, one issue Kim mentioned at the shareholders meeting was the lack of the ready availability of precision weaving machinery to spin the MS into thread which in turn is woven into textiles. That is why SSM is on board. I'm sure that Kim's announcement of commercial production will include SSM in the equation imo.
Hopefully Kim will begin to produce some news worthy of PR'ing soon.
