Yippee, I found 192 expired and near-expired patents from before 1997 under the corporate name - Mechanical Technology Incorporated, using AN/"Mechanical Technology Incorporated". Some are from the mid-70s, but I haven't look at them all in detail. Less than 10 of these patents are less than 20 years old.
