How many times have you wormed him? I assume he had
worms given the condition in which you found him. Did you
repeat worming to get rid of any that were not in the right
life cycle stage to be killed? Also regular OTC wormers do
not kill tapeworms. It takes one containing praziquantel.
Drontal Plus is best brand name but way too expensive.
Several generics available. I use WormXPlus from
DrsFosterSmith.com as it kills all worm types. Dog parks
are biggest source of worms next to the lawn outside of
Veterinarian Offices, even if poop is picked up. Tapes come
from ingesting a flea or a flea egg. My dogs eat mice, source.
I just watched your video of Charlie on Orin's lap about 5
times because I was showing it to people, and we all
thought his size seemed about right, so I don't know. The
line I have are almost always bigger than the size other
people say that they are used too. When dogs are paired
and bred through just a few generations, the size can be
altered either way. (either smaller or larger than the norm).
That's how people have created the toy breeds and I've
read it takes less time than one would think. So it is possible
that his ancestors were starved like North Koreans and are
runts. But he looks ok to me. They have growth spurts too.
