#18376 RE: Neil Scott #18374

Greeting to all my fellow AIMers and hope you are all having a good Christmas. The heat is beginning to ramp up over here. Today it was 34C (93.2F) and tomorrow it is getting up to 37C (98.6C)then luckily a respite for a few days before it starts again. I still can't get used to Christmas in the heat despite having moved to Australia nearly 15 years ago.

Hi, Neil,

Thanks for the warm input! How does Christmas play out in your corner of the world, particularly with respect to all the Santa Claus traditions of the Northern climes, snow, North Pole, reindeer, and all that? I'd expect to see St. Nick in some Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian flower shirt putting some "shrimp on the barbie" as it were. Must be quite different, enough where I can understand your seasonal adjustments, even several years on.

Thanks for any comments back and best wishes for 2006!

Best,

AIMster

Re: Web counter, weather and time shift........

Good morning Neil (just to add to your confusion!), Re: Tracking of the AIM-Users web site. The current count shows Australia in 4th place with just under 2% of the total visits. It's climbed from just under 1.5% since the last update on the web page. I freshen it every month or so as weekly changes are barely noticeable.

After a cold early December, we're having mild weather hovering just above the freeze point. Storm systems west of us have kept the skies gray for about a week - this is more unusual than the temps. We're essentially "west" of the Great Lakes, so usually have clearer and dryer conditions that east of here. Prevailing winds are westerly to northwesterly.

I don't know about IHub's count of country specific visitors. Maybe Bob Z could help us there.

Best regards, Tom
