I agree with you. That is where the Insurance companies might wield their swords.
That is also where the Hospital will not want to pay for extra room stays, and perhaps even the American Hospital Association will insist on any methods that provide 99.9999% kill rates.

There are laws requiring proper sterilization techniques, why not laws requiring proper microbe elimination?
