I estimate the moose head drill will spud in about a week to ten days. We now know from chariots website that the adjoining block contained world class source rock, which I believe was not burried deeply enough in block 2714 a, but should be buried deeply at the moose head well location.
There are three stacked reservoir sections in moosehead which form part of a huge four way dip anticline. So structure should not be a problem . The nearby kudu gas field has a complex and inconsistent reservoir in it’s main sand reservoir, however hrt are targeting a barramian carbonate reservoir, similar to the Brazilian Tupi field I believe, so fingers crossed they get it right this time.
This next well will be important to chariot to proove the presence of mature oil source rocks which can also charge potential reservoirs in chariots block 2714b.
