POM, you're right in this regard. Longs will benefit but only if there is a publicized bid for ARIAD regardless of whether the bid materializes or not. If you look at ARIADs pipeline, as we are talking today, Iclusig is marching towards first line(P3) in newly diagnosed CML. It has several indications in P2 trials. Other indications are still waiting to be discovered. 113 is in P2 trial and has exhibited BIC activities on NSCLC. It doesn't take days or weeks or months to conduct and complete all these trials. On top of this, there are malicious people trying to undermine Ariads drug(s). Nowadays, A lot of people here are venting their frustration on HB. If HB is replaced, the pace of the trials will still be the same as it is now. You were on this board all the time, isn't it? What did some of these people say about HB when the pps was rising to the mid 20s? He was getting all the accolades left and right. He was good. He was genius, blah blah blah. The pps went down to 17 and probably these same people wanted him replaced.
Of course they can say whatever they want. It's their money. On my part, if only I have extra money I would still buy as I don't know any other biotech that is more promising than ARIA...jmo.
