Yeah but they are automatically updating the numbers... calculation based on the wrong share structure.

yes I understand, but the market value of any stock will change daily, right now Morningstar has the 2009 share structure up, but using the current pps to calculate the market value, see?

Yeah they use the current pps, no doubt about that, but they take the outstanding shares from the last financial report that they ACKNOWLEDGE in the calculation.. regardless of the financials submitted this spring. Most websites use the September 2010 due to the fact that that was the last official financial reporting before going dormant and eventually filing a form 15. The latest quarterlies are not on most if these websites for said reason. The constant promotion of an "o/s as 2.37 million" needs to STOP. I am long in MYEC, unfortunately with a small position, and believe in the company but I think it is deceiving to use such numbers. The market cap is not $14,227 in fact ETrade shows a mkt cap of $391,000. I'm not trying to bash in any means merely trying to encourage truthful facts here.

Go MYEC!

I'll try to explain it this way.

In 2009, a hypothetical company was made up of 20 oranges. Each orange was worth 10 bucks. 20 oranges x 10 bucks = $200.

Today, the company is made up of 500 oranges. Those oranges are priced at one penny each. 500 oranges x .01 = $5

Morningstar is taking the figure from 2009, which is 20 oranges comprising the company, and calculating with the CURRENT price per orange, which is .01. 20 oranges x .01 = $0.20

That's why the market cap is so small on their site.

They're using older data for one of the variables in their calculation.
