Never been to the northwest but it is definitely top 5 on the bucket list.
Smithsonian channel on Directtv has a series that was filmed over a few years called Aerial America. They go through the States one by one and film the notable landmarks from the air. Very Cool and I saw one of the northwestern states a while back. Beautiful area.
