FWIW.....No oil company[including Taipan] ever shoots 2D BEFORE shooting FTG. And They shoot 2D before 3D. FTG speeds up the process [time is money], and it tells where to shoot 2D and most important where NOT to shoot 2D. A great relatively new technological tool that reduces costs of understanding where to drill wildcat wells. Tullow was one of the first to adopt this approach and their wildcat success in virgin territory in Africa is 58% according to their website.
