noodle - EU has a track record so they should be able to mk a good estimate of time and customers should be more receptive -- assuming they sign the contracts in Jan, they say they will deliver the first 300mw in O7. 300mw is definately a boat-load of mw - and as someone else said, the buyer would have to be a significant player already in the game to have permits/land/rights/etc/etc lined up by then.

sounds like the outfit in IA is going through the same difficulties as ctc/gc getting accc in the market.

the next couple of months are going to be interesting...

noodle - looked at cliipper - they seem to be doing well -

"Clipper has projects under development throughout the Americas and Europe amounting to a portfolio of over 3,000 MW of wind resources, and a 3,000 MW strategic site."

"The $22 million project will locate a manufacturing plant in Cedar Rapids to build the newly-developed, Clipper 2.5MW Liberty wind turbines. The facility would create 141 new jobs at an average starting wage of $18.93 per hour, with a third-year average wage of over $20 per hour."

looks like an outfit of this type can get significant $$$ assistance if they work at it -- EU should be able to do so --- come to OKC they are closing down a GM plant -- lots of places to locate on the cheap...

noodle - The PR says "initial orders will be concluded in January 2006". Is that soon enough?
