I'm curious though: what were the thoughts from Avro back then regarding the AR projects on a possible buyout? who, how, and why??

I just think they're simply not a large enough to produce enough to make the company profitable.

Yes. But its not as easy as dropping a hole and hitting oil! It is very difficult process. And expensive. If these guys miss this hole they will be in huge debt and stockwill go back to a nickel
