"The war looks over if ever there was one."

while that might be true, and would be great if it is, remember too that one of the big targets early last week was iraq's propaganda machinery, so that we're really now getting just one side of the picture; or at least, we're getting the picture skewed the way the coalition wants it skewed. add to that the other pr plays (e.g. the upi story on how we paid off that tribe of friendly iraqi's featured on the news last week) ...

Fed- (OT)~~~~ I hope you are correct. Looks to be about over. I wonder why they have been executing POWs and all intel points to Speicter still being alive. Stuff can still happen-- casualties can still occur, looking for some crap like idiots attacking the airport,, like bringing boxing gloves to a gun fight... some kids will grow old seeing the look on the faces of those they kill... some tough stuff could still be in the cards--- many places for ambush & snipers now,,, brings back memories from long ago--

F.R., did you see that white Toyota Land Cruiser near an overpass? Somehow, they seemed to drive away, leave the vehicle and run for cover behind a wall of a farm, the bullets hitting the ground nearby...

Congrats, indeed. Sure seems to be "the end", but I'll not tally it 'til Saddam and his 2 sons are dead, or captured. That's only symbolic, but symbols are paramount to the rebuilding process.

So, what about the market? A one-day rally, then resumption of the downside as eyes turn back to economic indicators? I have no clue.
