If you say so but my eye problems start with dogs getting field plant debris in their eyes while running full tilt with their head down following a scent. Their eyes will run as they have rammed stuff up under their eyelids. I always keep a current dated tube of opthamolic ointment from my vet on hand for that. Or do you really mean a genetic problem?
