SA is only garbage when an article says something I don't agree with. When they agree with me they are geniuses.
Technically, us retail guys can't sell naked puts. If you are not short the stock, you're going to have to put up cash sequestered in a set-aside for the duration of the trade. What I do is calculate my annualized return on the cash if the trade doesn't go, or see if I'll be happy with my discounted shares if the trade does go. If I'm comfortable with both outcomes, then I'll go for it.
But I don't see a viable options strategy in ARR. There just isn't anything there.
